New Years Eve!

Welcome to my new blog! I decided to leave it till today to write my first post, part of the reason for having this is that in the past I have attempted to write blogs but after a couple of months I forget about it for one reason or another! So I have decided to incorporate the writing of my blog into one of New Year Resolutions, which surprisingly enough is going to be the topic of this post!

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas where they completely over indulged! I went back home where masses of chocolate awaited me so I definitely did!! Anyway without further ado here are my NYR, which I will hopefully use this blog to document and prove that I have done! This way anyone that follows my blog can be my watchdogs and I'll kind of feel like I have to do them!! :)

1. Lose Weight (My friend's father is a gym instructor/personal fitness guru, and has already given me the first part in my fitness regime: I have to walk up and down the flight of stairs in my building ten times every day...I will attempt to include with that many gym visits. I guess this resolution also encompasses the 'go to the gym 3 times a week' resolution too).

2. Cook a new thing every two weeks (I realise that doesn't really go with the losing weight resolution but i LOVE cooking. My Dad calls it 'Food Porn' as I spend half my life reading food blogs or books, watching cooking shows...its ridiculous)

3. Keep a 2011 Scrapbook (I did this two years ago and it turned out to be quite fun, and forced me to go out more. I am a law student so it is so easy to just stay in reading allll the time, which quite frankly is dull and doesn't make for exciting memories!)

4. Update my blog at least once a week (Fairly self explanatory)

5. Buy a lottery ticket every week (This is an odd one I know, but I am testing out a theory that the only reason "people never seem to win anything on the lottery nowadays" is because people hardly ever actually buy lottery tickets! However to make money I am going to have to win £10 every two months, which I don't think will happen, but I suppose I could end up with millions off the back of a NYR and how great would that be!!)

6. Learn to make an item of clothing every month (Perhaps slightly ambitious...but I am going to start with an apron, which I hear should be fairly straightforward!)

Anyway, that is all I have come up with so far, no doubt more will be added over the next few weeks as normal, but hopefully I will at least stick with the ones that are there! I hope anyone reading has enjoyed my latest post, feel free to bug me if I don't write regularly enough!! I hope you all have a great NYE, let me know what you get up to!

Lucy
